Multidisciplinary Pain Center of Eisenhower Clinic expands location and team!

13 June 2023 / News

Due to the enormous growth in the number of pain patients, the Eisenhower Clinic has significantly expanded its location and team. A new department has been created with a state-of-the-art pain treatment room, which is equipped with the latest and most modern equipment for pain treatment. As a result, pain patients can undergo their pain treatment immediately and without waiting times after being diagnosed.

To ensure that waiting times remain short for consultations and pain treatments, the multidisciplinary pain team has also been expanded with Neurologist Ruud Keunen and Anesthetist-Pain Specialist Wouter Bóza.

Ruud Keunen has worked for more than 30 years as a neurologist at the Haga Hospital in The Hague. He has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain syndromes in the field of neurology.

Wouter Bóza is a renowned and very experienced pain specialist. He has years of experience in the treatment of various complex chronic and acute pain complaints and is therefore a forerunner in his field. Wouter Boza was trained as an anesthesiologist at the UMC Utrecht and did a fellowship at the Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem. Since 2013 he has worked as an Anesthetist-Pain Specialist at the Bronovo Hospital (HMC) and at various locations of the DC Clinics.

Due to the expansion of the multidisciplinary pain team, the team now consists of two Orthopedics (Sebastiaan Jansen and Rutger Tordoir), three Anesthetist-Pain Specialist (Wouter Bóza, Liz van der Stroom and Giap Liem) and a Neurologist (Ruud Keunen).

The Eisenhower Clinic thus meets the conditions set for registering the Eisenhower Clinic as a recognized Pain Center.
